GLENDRONACH Cask Strength Batch 8. The GlenDronach distillery is pleased to announce the eighth release of its Cask Strength Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, matured for ten years in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks from Andalucía. This expression offers connoisseurs a deeper insight into the distillery’s signature profile, by bottling the whisky at its natural strength of 61%, to bring the full depth of maturation in Spanish oak casks.
With each unique cask strength release, Master Blender Dr. Rachel Barrie selects the perfect marriage of sherry casks before bottling at cask strength and without chill filtration, as was the custom when The GlenDronach distillery was established in 1826. As with all of The GlenDronach expressions, the rich natural colour is drawn from the Spanish oak in which it rests.
A great whisky holding all the flavours of all the Glenfarclas in one glass. Don't be afraid of the strength and order a 210, if you DARE! The smoothness make the 105 drinkable at cask strength, but i would suggest adding a little water, to fully explore it's great depth.
100% Oloroso Sherry Cask Maturation. An excellent introduction to the distillery style for those who enjoy a sherried whisky. To be consumed neat or with a drop of water. A great accompaniment to smoked salmon or Iberico ham.
We bottle this at 46% simply because my grandfather preferred it at this strength. It's still a family favorite. This is perfect for single malt enthusiasts.
100% Oloroso Sherry Cask Maturation. Hints of oak, complexity but finely balanced. Combine the smoothness of our younger whisky with the greater depth of our older expressions.
Our original, signature single malt Scotch whisky has matured for at least 12 years in American and Spanish oak casks. A fragrant malt which is balances the fruitiness of pear with the richness of subtle oak.
Glenfiddich 15 is innovatively matured in three types of oak cask: sherry, bourbon and new oak, before being married in our unique, handcrafted Oregon pine Solera vat. Year on year, this Solera vat is never emptied but is always kept at least half full creating a deliciously harmonious and intense whisky which gets more complex and intriguing every year.
The resulting touch of sweetness from the Sherry wood is perfectly balanced by the oakiness drawn from the traditional casks, delivering a single malt Scotch whisky of brilliant character - smooth and full bodied.
Patiently matured for 21 years on‐site at the distillery, it is an exquisite, traditional Speyside whisky, rich and ripe with our Glenfiddich signature notes. But rather than bottle it, as other distillers would, our Malt Master, Brian Kinsman, hand picks selected barrels and adds a sublime finishing touch.
By finishing our 21 Year Old in Caribbean rum casks it awakens the liquid, rousing it with extra exotic notes of ginger, fig, lime and banana and a vibrant spicy toffee warmth, elevating it from something great to something extraordinary.

The world renowned Glenfiddich 40 year old is made from a remnant vatting process, where selected individual casks are married together with a previous 40 year old vatting. Each bottle is individually numbered and wrapped in hand-stitched calf leather, and accompanied by a leather bound book telling its 40 year old story, with certification hand-signed by Glenfiddich’s longest-serving craftsmen. Only 600 bottles are released to the world each year.
