Aged 1 – 3 years and is filtered through active charcoal to remove dominant woody notes and colour from aging. Bacardi Carta Blanca neither dominates nor disappears. It’s the world’s most mixable rum with almost any mixer but more importantly was used in the earliest recipes of the Mojito.
Intense flavours of smoky oak and caramelized fruits develop in heavy charred oak barrels for up to 4 years. Ideal for bold tasting drinks with robust flavoured ingredients.
Bacardi’s first rum was Carta Oro, the original in 1862. Rich vanilla flavours developed in lightly toasted barrels over 1 – 3 years. In 1900 Carta Oro was used to create the Original Cuba Libre.
Created in 1862 but remained only for the Bacardi family to drink for 7 generations. Reserva Ocho is one of the oldest private rum blends in the world. Aged 8 – 9 years under the Caribbean sun. Perfect for drinking neat or over ice. Or with cocktails like the Rum Old Fashioned or El Presidente.
